Former Nigerian international, Adokiye Amiesimaka, has been appointed to head a six-man committee saddled with the responsibility of producing a blue-print aimed at re-organising Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Dolphins FC and Nigeria National League (NNL) club, Sharks.
The blue-print will subsequently be scrutinised by the sponsors of the clubs via the Rivers State sports ministry with the aim of charting a more positive course for the 2015/16 football season.
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executive Committee member, Chris Green, will serve as a member of the committee.
Other members of the committee include the National Vice President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (South-South), Honour Sirawoo; Chairman of the Sharks FC supporters club, Isaiah Ogolo and Chairman Dolphins FC supporters club, Franklin Owhor.

The Director (Administration), Rivers State Ministry of Sports, Austin Ezekiel Hart, will serve as secretary of the committee.

Speaking on the development on Friday, Rivers State sports commissioner, Honourable Boma Iyaye explained that the move will produce positive results for the two clubs in the days to come.

“The government is looking at re-organizing the two Rivers State-owed football clubs and this is one step towards achieving that.

“We have painstakingly selected six individuals who have proved themselves in football administration to suggest ways through which we can make these clubs more marketable and successful,” Iyaye said.

The inauguration of the committee will take place at the Conference Room of the Rivers State Ministry of Sports on Monday, January 18, 2016 by 11am.
