Alariwo of Africa: I was never broke

Popular Afro-Beat singer, Rotimi Martins, popularly known as “Alariwo of Africa`’, on Monday said that he was not broke but financially comfortable to cater for himself and his family.
The Afro-beat singer, who was in the news some months back over an alleged illness, took to the social network platform to debunk rumours and negative comments being peddled about him.
He said that he was never bed-ridden as alleged but only had a surgery which was done with only his wife’s knowledge.
The Afro-Beat singer said that he was financially comfortable to care for himself and his family.
Alariwo also said that those making a laughing stock of him were unaware that he recently bagged a mouthwatering-endorsement deal with a telecommunications company.
He said that had further confirmed his relevance in the industry.
“I laugh when some people say that I have run out of money or I am no more in the limelight.
“Anyone who says that I keep a low profile because of competition is telling a lie. I have a studio at home and I have been working.
“I have enough money to fend for my family and God has been providing for me.
“I have been living a very comfortable life and in fact, I just bagged an endorsement-deal with a telecommunications company. If I am not relevant, will that have happened? “
