The Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan have placed the technical crew of the team anchored by Babatunde Odubola and Akeem Busari under close watch to see whether they would comply with the decisions taken by the team’s management.
This followed the team’s 2-0 loss to visiting Heartland Football Club of Owerri in a week 12 Globacom Premier League match played at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
Toyin Akintunde, the Chairman of the 3SC board together with one of the club’s board member, Ade Somefun said that the coaching crew is under close watch since the management had met all the requirements of the team.
“We all sat down to x-ray the match after the loss and the players apologized for their errors promising to do well in subsequent matches,”he stated.
Adding that: “The coaches are also under close monitoring to see the level of compliance. We have resolved to take a few decisions which are not for public consumption yet and for now we shall be watching to see if things would go the way we wanted.”
On the request of the fans that the technical crew should be changed, the chairman noted that the fans have the right to air their opinion, noting that, it was incumbent on the management to do what was good for the team.
“It is normal for fans to make their own requests, but it is the duty of the management to know what to do in situations like this when results does not favour the team, “Akintunde said.
