The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has officially unveiled its governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The unveiling ceremony, held on Friday at the Oyo State APC Secretariat in Ibadan, saw Sen. Sharafadeen Alli presented as the party’s governorship candidate alongside 49 other candidates across various elective positions.
Alli, who currently represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the Senate, expressed appreciation to God, President Bola Tinubu, party leaders and members for choosing him as the party’s flag bearer.
Speaking at the event, Alli called for unity among APC members, stressing that all stakeholders must work together to achieve victory in the forthcoming elections.
He urged members to avoid internal conflicts and divisions, describing party members and political opponents as stakeholders in the collective development of Oyo State.
According to him, a united APC would be better positioned to win elections across the state.
Alli also promised that if elected governor, his administration would focus on key areas including education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure and other sectors aimed at improving the lives of residents.
The party also unveiled Hon. Soji Adedeji as the deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.
For the senatorial seats, APC presented:
- Sen. Yunus Akintunde for Oyo Central
- Mrs Hannah Ogunesan for Oyo North
- Rep. Aderemi Oseni for Oyo South
The party also unveiled its 14 House of Representatives candidates, including:

- Wasiu Olafisoye – Akinyele/Lagelu
- Tajudeen Kareem – Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West
- Akinola Alabi – Egbeda/Ona-Ara
- Umar Alao-Arisekola – Ibadan North
- Olatunji Olaiya – Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East
- Folake Olunloyo-Oshinowo – Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West
- Sarafadeen Olaoniye – Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North
- Yusuf Osuolale – Ibarapa East/Ido
- Bosun Oladele – Irepo/Olorunsogo/Orelope
- Tolulope Sadipe – Oluyole
- Saheed Adejare – Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa
- Olamiju Alao-Akala – Ogbomoso North/Ogbomoso South/Orire
- Olusegun Odebunmi – Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere
For the Oyo State House of Assembly, the APC unveiled candidates across all 32 constituencies.
Earlier, the Oyo APC Chairman, Chief Adeyemo Alake, appealed to party leaders, stakeholders and members to remain united and work collectively for the success of the party.
Alake said the candidates presented at the ceremony had been duly affirmed as the party’s flag bearers for the 2027 elections.
The event was attended by former Deputy Governor Taofeek Arapaja, Chief Oluwakemi Alao-Akala, former Oyo North Senator Hosea Agboola, party executives, local government chairmen, stakeholders and supporters.
