2016 Budget: Senate adopts Buhari’s letter

The Senate, on Tuesday, adopted the content of the communication from President Muhammadu Buhari over the amendment of 2016 Budget proposal.‎
In a letter read on the floor of the Upper Chamber, Buhari notified Senators of some corrections in the budget proposal.
According to B‎uhari’s letter, the figures of the 2016 Budget draft bill remain the same without any alteration except for a few amendments in the general principles of the document.
After adopting the amendments to the 2016 Budget as requested by the Presidency, Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, thanked senators for the unanimous decision and patriotism.
Saraki also informed the senators that the debate on general principle on budget proposal will commence on Wednesday.
