Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would bounce back and take over power in 2019.

Yuguda made the remark at a farewell party organised for him by members of the state office of the PDP on Monday night in Bauchi.

He urged members of the party to remain loyal and not give up, adding that it would return to power soon.

Yuguda who lost in his bid to go to the Senate, however, said that the success of the party would largely depend on understanding, love and tolerance among members.

“ PDP will surely succeed if we work as a team and remain united as a family.

“We will re-strategise and take back power. All you need to do as party members is to pray for a triumphant return in 2019.

“We will also work on our failures and mistakes so as to emerge stronger in the next election.“

He described the party’s fall and the rise of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the will of Allah, Who gives power to whom He so wishes.
“It was because God has already decided our fate that APC was able to take over power at the federal and the state levels from the PDP.

“PDP has governed this country for 16 years, so we should not feel down cast because Allah decided to give APC a chance to also rule, “the governor said.

He called on the people, irrespective of party affiliation, to pray for the success of the incoming administration in the state.

Yuguda equally called on the party members to accept in good faith, the resignation of Alhaji Ahmadu Muazu as PDP National Chairman.
