The President-General of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, has pleaded with the Super Eagles chief coach, Stephen Keshi, to recall team captain Joseph Yobo to the national team to enable him to make his 100th appearance for the Eagles.
The President-General of Supporters Club stated that Yobo has made immense contributions to the team in the past and deserved to be in the team, even if it means being used sparingly.
“I feel that Yobo has contributed immensely to our football and should be given that honour to hit the 100 caps mark,” Ladipo says.
“He can be brought into matches to play for few minutes in just four matches. He is also experienced and can motivate the team.”
Ladipo also thanked the Sports Minister, Bolaji Abdullahi, for interfering in the bonus row that has pitted the players in the national team against the NFF, noting that the distraction is unnecessary.
“We just have two more matches to qualify, and the issue of bonuses should not cause problem for the team now,” he said.
