Yakmut confirmed as Sports Commission DG

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of Mr. Al-Hassan Yakmut as the substantive Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC).
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was conveyed to the Sports Minister/Chairman, National Sports Commission, Dr. Tammy Danagogo via a letter dated May 12, 2015.
It would be recalled that Yakmut was until April 15, 2015 when he was appointed Acting Director General of the NSC to replace Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, the Director of the Federation of Elite Athletes Department of the Commission.
