Because of its persistent hatred for the Yoruba, voters in the South-West were told on Wednesday to reject all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February general elections.
National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Chief Olu Falae, who said this during the party’s rally in Akure, Ondo State, declared: “Our people must reject APC during the election because it has demonstrated that it hates the South-West geo-political zone by its actions and its utterances. The National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has consistently demonstrated his hatred for the Yoruba race by his actions and inactions. “The national conference was opposed, condemned and boycotted by the APC. Even though they knew that this is what we have been fighting for long including Tinubu himself, but for purely partisan reasons, they opposed the good things for Yoruba race.
“I am saying Yoruba should not trust such a party with a single vote because they will abandon our cause for partisanship. They have done it before, the Speaker of the House of Representatives was zoned to the South-West, they ganged up and gave it to Tambuwal from Sokoto State. We cannot trust APC with our votes. Vote for SDP candidates.”
Falae, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), later presented flags to National and State Assemblies candidates of SDP.
