The Naze Millionaires were held to 0-0 draw in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match-day 1 clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
Orji said the outcome of the hotly contested encounter did not measure the performance or standard of his charges.
“Well the barren draw did not show how we played against Warri Wolves but that’s how the match ended. We have taken the result in good faith and will work harder in subsequent matches.
“That’s the first match of the league season and it’s always difficult. I give God the glory as it could have been worse if we had lost the match as it happened in other centres. Of course, I have nothing to complain about, the players truly acquitted themselves well.
“Warri Wolves also did not disappoint in the match; they played well, stood their ground and got a good result. I have learned a valuable lesson from the match and I will quickly work on any problem areas before the next match. I think we have started very well in our campaign and will excel in the ongoing league season,” said Orji.
The 2009 Caf Champions League finalists will be the guests of Wikki Tourists in the next match-day 2 fixture clash.
