VAS2Nets emerges West Africa’s Most Innovative VAS vendor at WAMAS

One of Nigeria’s frontline Value Added Services (VAS) Aggregators, VAS2Nets, has won the Mobile Innovation Award at the prestigious West African Mobile Awards (WAMAS) 2017.
The company clinched the award for the innovative Mobile Biometric Verification Number (BVN) platform it developed in conjunction with Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Explaining why the awards panel chose VAS2Nets out of the thousands of VAS solution providers in the sub continent, the organisers of the awards said they were enamoured by the uniqueness and innovativeness of the BVN mobile platform VAS2Nets developed.
WAMAS prides itself as leading the charge in celebrating the progress made in West Africa through the provision of mobile connectivity, products and services.
VAS2Nets Technologies Limited is a leading Sub-Saharan African Application and Infrastructure service provider for media consumer, telecoms servicesand enterprise mobile value added services. While the company has its headquarters located in Nigeria, it also has its footprints in African countries including Ghana, Cameroon, Uganda, Bostwana, South Africa and still growing. The company has extensive experience in development and delivery services such as Premium SMS, Premium Voice Services, Premium USSD, Content Aggregation for Telcos, Direct Carrier Billing, Mobile Financial Services, SVOD, Live Streaming, IoT services, Integrated Solutions and mobile application solutions. It was founded by a young Nigerian information technology entrepreneur, Ayo Stuffman with over 40 employees.
While receiving the award, VAS2Nets’ Special Project Development Executive, Faith Irabor, said: “A big thank you to WAMAS for this award as the best company for Mobile Innovation 2017 on the BVN project. Our appreciation goes to God Almighty, Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System(NIBSS), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Financial Institutions, Network Operators, Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC), Nigerian Bank customers and the entire VAS2Nets team”.
