Uzodimma to Okorocha: You are an Internally Displaced Politician

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has taken former governor of the South-East state, Senator Rochas Okorocha, to the cleaners.
To him, Okorocha, who governed the state from 2011 to 2019, is an ‘Internally Displaced Politician’.

Uzodimma was reacting to Okorocha’s accusation that he was working against the interest of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

On Thursday, Okorocha said: “APC is no longer breathing in Imo State since Uzodimma became the governor”.

But, the Governor in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Print Media, Modestus Nwamkpa, declared that Okorocha should peacefully leave APC and not destroy it before joining another party.

The statement further alleged that Okorocha was angry that APC had gained more grounds in the South-East, including the entry of the Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, into the party, under the watch of Uzodimma.

He said, “Okorocha is a sinking man. He is an internally displaced politician. He is angry that under Governor Hope Uzodinma, APC is gaining more grounds in the South-East, including the entry of Governor Dave Umahi into the party.

“I am aware that Okorocha wants to leave APC and his plan is to destroy APC before he joins another party but we will not let him have his way. Okorocha ruled Imo State for eight years with small boys and did what he liked with the state.

“Throughout Okorocha’s reign as governor, he never called any stakeholders meeting for APC but Governor Hope Uzodimma in less than one year has been strengthening APC in the state and in the entire region”.
