Liverpool topped the inaugural Champions League group phase despite defeat by PSV while Manchester City scraped through
The Champions League group phase has concluded with Premier League leaders Liverpool finishing top of the pile despite a 3-2 defeat by PSV.

Barcelona, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Leverkusen, Lille and Aston Villa have also advanced directly to the round of 16.
