Ghanaian star, Asamoah Gyan, is relishing playing alongside Nigerian star, John Mikel Obi, at Al Ain.
Obi, who plays for English champions, Chelsea, is reported to have agreed personal terms with UAE champions.
But the deal is yet to be confirmed by both sides.
“I heard it this week that he (Mikel Obi) has agreed terms with Al Ain and will most definitely be playing for us next season,” he said on Accra-based Metro TV last week.
“It’s great news for us because Mikel Obi is a very good player and very experienced. It will be exciting playing with him in the same team, because I believe both of us, with the help of our other colleagues, can do more for the club.”
Gyan has been at Al Ain since July 2012 and has been a star performer having won the goal king on three occasions.
