We at Ọmọ Eko Pataki have critically examined the membership of the newly constituted Governing Board of Lagos State University. The 13- member committee has Mr David Summoni as the chairman.
The list is at best a patronage roll call, resolved, empowered , prescribed to carry out a defined partisan chore.
It is more like a tendentious choreography, acting out a predetermined end. There is nothing meritorious about the new composition. It is purely about who will do the bidding of the Visitor.
Governor Sanwoolu by this action is increasingly deepening the ostracization of the indigenes on their native land This is unacceptable.
The position of Omo Eko Pataki remains constant, unyielding, firm, insistent on justice. We want a qualified competent professional Lagosian to be appointed as LASU Vice Chancellor. This is the national normative pattern. This is what should be in Lagos.
Lagos must being the play thing of the presiding overlords. The tights and privileges of our people must be protected fiercely.
We are tired being second fiddle on our own soil.
We are, however, consoled that no lie can live forever and that in the end, all beginnings must have end. This very aberration in Lagos is quietly unraveling by the very hubris of those who falsely belief they are etched in eternal sway .
