Soun greets Emir of Ilorin on 25th anniversary

Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade 111, has described Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, as a monarch with passion for selfless service.
Acknowledging the robust transformation of Ilorin and environs under the reign of the Emir, Oba Oyewumi applauded the traditional ruler for building on the legacies of his forefathers, adding that the Emir has lived up to expectations in all ramifications.
While congratulating the monarch for his silver jubilee celebration, the nonaganerian first-class monarch, recalled his age-long relationship with Sulu-Gambari and his predecessors, adding that traditional rulers across the country must work harmoniously for the common good of the society.
In a letter of congratulations he personally signed , Oba Oyewumi prayed for longer life for the celebrant.
The letter reads in part, “I am happy to join your royal family, friends, associates and the good people of Kwara state, Ilorin in particular, to feliciate with you on the occasion of your 25th anniversary on the throne as Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs. 
“I am also grateful to Allah for granting us all the gift of life to witness such a remarkable and historic feat. Having known you for many years, I had no doubt, when you ascended the revered stool of Emir of Ilorin, in your capacity to steer the affairs of your domain. 
“It is worthy to note that over the years, you have consolidated on the achievements of your predecessors, in taking Ilorin and environs to enviable heights. During your reign, Ilorin has witnessed unprecedented and robust development in all ramifications. 
“To Allah be all the glory for giving you wisdom and sound health as you serve your subjects and the people of Kwara state at large.
“Your Royal Majesty, as you mark this glorious feat, please count on my prayer and support at all times, in all your endeavours”
Oba Oyewumi, while felicitating with the government and people of Kwara State, urged them to sustain their support for the Emir in his efforts to promote peace and unity across the state.
