Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo has ordered the immediate dismissal of all political appointees across the state, just a day after beginning his second term in office.

The directive was announced in an official circular issued by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) on Wednesday in Awka ,the state capital.

The document, signed by Dr Nwabufor Nwankwo Permanent Secretary in the SSG’s office, instructed all affected officials to transfer their responsibilities without delay.

According to the circular, appointees are required to hand over to **Permanent Secretaries in their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). In cases where no Permanent Secretary is available, the most senior civil servant is to assume control.

The handover process is expected to be completed before the end of work on the same day, as the administration prepares to form a new executive cabinet.

The move signals the governor’s intention to restructure his administration following his re-election, paving the way for fresh appointments.

In a related development, all members of the outgoing cabinet have been scheduled to meet with Governor Soludo on March 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the Anambra State Executive Council Chambers

The decision marks a significant administrative transition as the state government begins a new phase under Soludo’s leadership.
