Shootings in Osun leave one dead

Police in Osun State, on Saturday, confirmed the killing of one Kolade Eluyera by suspected gunmen in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the incident, stating that the deceased was found with gunshot wounds.

Ojelabi said the incident was reported at the Ikire Divisional Police Headquarters on Saturday morning.

“From available information, the deceased was killed in the early hours of today.

“We have commenced an investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the killing.

“We are also working to apprehend those responsible,” he said.

Ojelabi added that the police would ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
