Sen. Adetokunbo Abiru (APC-Lagos East)has mourned the passing of Mr Gboyega Soyannwo, the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) to Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.

Abiru, in a statement by his media aide, Mr Enitan Olukotun, in Lagos on Thursday, described the death of Soyannwo as shocking and a huge loss to his family, friends and the state.

”Late Gboyega Soyannwo was my friend, brother and a junior colleague in banking,” he said.

The senator extolled the contributions of the late DCoS to the development of the state, particularly the pivotal role he played in the administration of Gov. Sanwo-Olu.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased,  asking God to grant his  family the fortitude to bear the  loss.
