From Bode Durojaiye, Oyo.

A student of one of the higher institutions in Oyo State is on the run after stabbing his female colleague.
Freedom Online learned that the incident happened at Oroki area of Atiba Local Government in Oyo town on Monday night.
Residents raised the alarm when they found the female student in a pool of her blood.
The alarm attracted security agents who have declared the male student wanted.
The victim was immediately rushed to a popular hospital where she is responding to treatment.
Freedom Online learned that the students reside in the same area and when the male student was travelling, her female counterpart urged him to please collect her school fees from her parents which he did.
On returning to school, he was alleged to have spent the money and all efforts for him to give her the money failed.
Said a source: “He later lied to the female student that he had already paid the school fees to the bank and she demanded for the teller. He then told her to come and collect it in the evening. On getting to his apartment, he stabbed her with the intention to kill her. She summoned courage to raised the alarm which attracted neighbours. When he realised that neighbours were coming, he took to his heels”.
The source said she is already responding to treatment while detectives are on the trail of the male student.
