Former governor of Kwara State, Senator Bukola Saraki, on Thursday, told Nigerians that the country will be among the economically-vibrant comity of nations only if an All Progressives Congress (APC) government is formed at the centre.
He said candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should be rejected at the February polls because the party has nothing to offer Nigerians anymore.
The APC chieftain spoke at the flag-off of the party’s campaign in the North-Central state at the Metropolitan Square, Ilorin.
Describing the PDP as a sinking ship, Saraki said: “Nigeria can only be better under General Muhammadu Buhari presidency. We are tired of the present day Nigeria. We must effect a change. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and President Goodluck Jonathan promised us roads, there are no roads, they promised us power, there is no electricity, they promised us employment, our youths remain unemployed.
“The last time Kwara benefitted from the federal government was during the time of the blessed President Umar Yar’Adua when he facilitated the step down electricity transmission at Ganmo. This is the reason Kwarans should vote massively for APC and all its candidates in the coming elections. From the foregoing, it is very clear that PDP does not love the masses.
“We at the APC are struggling to give the youths a better future. When oil was sold at $100 per barrel, this Jonathan’s government could not manage the economy, not to talk of now when it is sold for $50 dollars per barrel”.
