Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, wife of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, on Thursday December 22, 2022, laid the foundation stone of Rotary primary health post in Irawo.
Irawo town is a sprawling community in Owode, Ikorodu area of Lagos State with a population of over 200,000 people. There is no health centre in the community.
This has been a vision of over three years that has passed through various processes. It is gratifying that the project is coming to fruition at this time.
The President of Rotary Club of Onigbongbo, Rotarian Babatunde Razaq Salau, thanked the Lagos State Government for approving the project and for her support in its actualisation.
The reason it has taken so long was because Rotary Club needed to involve the State Ministry of Health and the government.
The president thanked the state and local government and requested for cooperation of the community for the project to be beneficial to all.
