Ahmed Musa is set to miss Nigeria’s friendly with Mexico as his club would compete in the Russian Cup Final coming up at about the same time.

CSKA Moscow and big spending Anzhi Makahchkala will face each other in the Russian Cup Final on June 2 after which the former Kano Pillars striker will travel to Germany to join his international teammates.

The striker has thus been ruled out of Nigeria’s friendly game with Mexico on May 31, but will be available for selection for the World Cup qualifiers as well as the FIFA Confederations Cup.

Musa, who just won the Russian Premier League with CSKA, had a decent outing this season scoring 11 goals in 25 League matches.
