Ronaldo: What is my business with FIFA?

Portugal international star, Cristiano Ronaldo, stormed out of a television interview with CNN Espanol because he didn’t want to comment on the scandal rocking the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA).
To the soccer star, footballers are more interested “in music, women, fashion, shoes, suitcases/bags, jewellery, haircuts”.
The drama came when Ronaldo, 30, appeared on the television programme, hoping to talk about a new range of headphones he was launching in the United States (U.S.).
But when the interviewer turned the subject to football’s biggest crisis and also the looming troubles over the 2022 Qatar World Cup, Ronaldo was livid.
“This is bullshit. Speak about FIFA? I don’t care about FIFA. And Qatar…I don’t give a f**k. What you want me to do? (gestures with hand). Speak about product, he speaks about FIFA … come on,” Ronaldo raged as he walked off the set.
Initially, Ronaldo had given a frank answer when confronted on the FIFA corruption scandal.
“Do you want me to be honest? It doesn’t worry me at all. I do my profession, my job, I give my all for my club…the rest doesn’t matter to me. I don’t care what happens on the outside.”
Ronaldo said he couldn’t answer for his team-mates but made it clear they certainly didn’t discuss the issue in the locker room.
He said they talked “about other things”.
When pressed for what they were, he said: “About music, about women, about fashion, about shoes, about suitcases/bags, about jewellery, about haircuts.”
Ronaldo, who has been lauded with FIFA playing honours during his career, stars with Real Madrid in the Spanish league.
