The crisis between Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, deepened on Wednesday.
The House of Assembly Complex was demolished.
As it was being demolished, Fubara was presenting the N800 billion 2024 Budget estimates to the Edison Ehie-led faction of the Assembly at the Government House.
Twenty-seven members of the House loyal to Wike, who is now the FCT Minister, on Monday, defected from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on whose platform they were elected on March 18, to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).
