Remo Stars, Bendel Insurance, Gombe United, Kada Stars pick NPFL ticket

Remo Stars of Sagamu and Bendel Insurance of Benin have gained promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), finishing top in the southern conference of the Nigeria National League Super 8 playoffs.
Gombe United and Kada City of Kaduna also picked slots allocated to the Northern Conference at the playoffs held in Aba.
Bendel finished the group with nine points ahead of Remo with six from three matches while Shooting Stars of Ibadan  struggled behind with three points, leaving Delta Force without a point.
The Northern sides also earned their place in the topflight with five points each ahead of Kogi United with four and Real Stars  of Kaduna with a single point.
The 2018/2019 NPFL is scheduled to begin on January 13.
