Let’s cut through the noise and address facts. Let’s dispense with the worthless rabble-rousing and confront the distortions presented by “Comrade Idowu Afuye ”

Facts are sacred, and it is time to lay them bare for the people of Ekiti North Senatorial District.

The Fabricated Claim of FUOYE’s Establishment: A Historical Distortion

The assertion that Senator Ayo Arise “gave Ekiti North a federal university” by sponsoring its establishment is a blatant falsehood designed to mislead and rewrite history. We challenge Senator Arise and his proponents to present the specific bill he supposedly sponsored to establish the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE).
The undeniable truth is that his only significant intervention regarding FUOYE was a controversial move to change its proposed location from Ikole Ekiti to Oye-Ekiti, his hometown. This was a relocation, not an establishment. Such a claim distorts historical facts and disrespects the collective effort that truly brought FUOYE into existence.

Furthermore, raising the issue of FUOYE’s establishment is tactless given the contentious history surrounding its location. The move from Ikole Ekiti to Oye-Ekiti created significant friction and distress within the senatorial district. To present this contentious relocation as a ‘bold achievement’ is insensitive to the communities affected and demonstrates a clear disregard for the historical context. It begs the question: Can Senator Arise truly campaign effectively in Ikole Ekiti, despite his personal ties to the paramount ruler, given the resentment still felt over this singular action he is now being praised for?

Senator Arise’s Political Relevance: A Fading Echo

It’s also pertinent to question the political platform Senator Arise intends to use, given his waning relevance within the All Progressives Congress (APC). When was the last time Senator Arise actively participated in any substantial APC activity? His brief, almost unacknowledged presence at the recent statewide endorsement rally for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji speaks volumes. He appeared to be an uncomfortable spectator rather than a committed party stalwart, leaving hurriedly.
This visible lack of engagement, especially compared to the significant resources and efforts contributed by dedicated party members to ensure the rally’s success, strongly suggests he has become a peripheral figure within the party he claims allegiance to.

Conversely,
Senator Cyril Fasuyi’s political profile is rising by the day, as a proactive and performing representative. This is in stark contrast to the unsubstantiated claims and distortions propagated by Senator Arise’s camp, Senator Cyril Fasuyi embodies genuine and effective representation. He is undeniably a man of the people whose unwavering commitment has earned him the trust and admiration of his constituents, who are eager for him to continue his impactful work. Let’s just mention a few to educate the likes of the promoters of Senator Arise.

High Performance: A Track Record of Tangible Results
Senator Fasuyi’s impact on Ekiti North is not merely theoretical; it is etched in the lives of the people and the landscape of the district. His approach to governance is rooted in a “Problem-Solution-Impact” model, directly addressing challenges faced by his constituents.
Voice of Ekiti North: Legislative Prowess and Advocacy
As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Establishment & Public Services and Vice Chairman of the Committee on Army, Senator Fasuyi has ensured Ekiti North’s concerns are heard at the highest levels of government. His active participation in legislative processes goes beyond mere attendance. He has consistently championed bills and motions designed to bring direct benefits to the district. For example, Senator Fasuyi has successfully sponsored the Pension and Reform Act (Amendment) Bill 2024, the Federal Education Trust Fund Act (Amendment) Bill, and the Legislative Houses (Power and Privileges) (Amendment) Bill, 2024, all aimed at improving education and general living conditions across the nation.

Visible Progress: Infrastructural Development
The landscape of Ekiti North is dotted with the visible markers of Senator Fasuyi’s commitment to infrastructural development. These projects are not just bricks and mortar; they are catalysts for economic growth, improved living standards, and enhanced connectivity. The installation of numerous solar-powered boreholes across communities in Ekiti North senatorial district has provided access to clean, potable water for thousands of people, tackling a critical public health issue and improving daily life for families.

Investing in Our People: Human Capital Development and Empowerment
Senator Fasuyi understands that true progress lies in empowering individuals and fostering human potential. His initiatives in this area are designed to create opportunities and uplift the most vulnerable. The Senator Fasuyi Scholarship Scheme has supported hundreds of indigent students from Ekiti North in pursuing higher education, breaking down financial barriers, and enabling academic excellence. Empowerment programs for women and youth, including training in tailoring, ICT, and agribusiness, coupled with the provision of start-up grants and equipment, have fostered entrepreneurship and created sustainable livelihoods. His efforts have facilitated employment opportunities for Ekiti North youth in various federal agencies and private sectors, contributing to a reduction in unemployment rates.

A Senator for All: Compassion and Community Welfare

Beyond formal duties, Senator Fasuyi is deeply embedded within the fabric of Ekiti North communities. His accessibility and responsiveness reflect a genuine commitment to the welfare of his constituents. Regular town hall meetings and constituency visits ensure direct engagement with constituents, allowing for real-time feedback and effective communication. Senator Fasuyi has met his constituents in various gatherings organized to have direct interfaces with them in places like Otun-Ekiti, Usi-Ekiti, Ido-Ekiti, Ikole-Ekiti, and other communities across Ekiti North senatorial district. His support for traditional institutions and community development initiatives further strengthens social cohesion and preserves cultural heritage. Senator Fasuyi’s swift intervention in critical community issues, such as flood relief and security concerns, demonstrates his responsiveness and dedication during times of need.

The Promise of the Future: Building on Success
While celebrating past achievements, Senator Fasuyi remains focused on the future. His agenda for the next term is rooted in addressing remaining challenges and capitalizing on new opportunities, ensuring Ekiti North continues its upward trajectory. This forward-looking vision encompasses key strategic pillars such as enhanced economic diversification, improved healthcare access, expanded youth engagement, and ensuring robust security.
“We will leverage federal resources and partnerships to bring even greater development to every ward and every household in Ekiti North,” Senator Fasuyi affirms, underscoring his commitment to a holistic approach to progress.
The choice before the people of Ekiti North is clear: to continue on the path of proven development and high performance.
For our esteemed politicians and dedicated party members, uniting behind Senator Cyril Fasuyi, a proven performer, is a strategic imperative to ensure the party’s strength and continued leadership in Ekiti North. His track record makes him the strongest candidate to deliver victory.
Cyril Fasuyi: Leadership You Can Trust, Results You Can See.

Senator Fasuyi holds immense respect for Senator Arise as an elder statesman. However, this respect does not condone the dissemination of baseless and disparaging articles clearly aimed at tarnishing his reputation and misleading the public. If Senator Arise genuinely seeks to re-engage with active politics, he should do so through substantive engagement and fact-based discourse, rather than resorting to sponsoring inflammatory and factually incorrect write-ups. The attempts by individuals like Idowu Afuye to undermine Senator Fasuyi’s significant work through such unprofessional and reputation-damaging tactics are regrettable and entirely without merit. The vast disparity in their tenures, as evidenced by concrete achievements, makes any fair comparison unequivocally clear.
