Police, DSS to INEC: To avoid bloodshed, postpone Edo election

Will Edo State governorship election hold on Saturday?
The answer is not clear for now.
Why? On Thursday, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Department of State Services (DSS) advised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to postpone the election.
The main gladiators in the election are the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Godwin Obaseki, and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
To the police and DSS who gave the advice on Thursday, if the election holds on Saturday, there is the likelihood of a breakdown of law and order which may lead to bloodshed.
It is still not clear if INEC will postpone the election.
