The Supreme Leader of Afghanistan, Hibatullah Akhundzada, has declared that the country has entered a phase of stability and improved security following years of conflict.

In a public message issued on Monday ahead of the Muslim festival of Eid al-Fitr, Akhundzada said the nation had achieved what he described as victory after enduring prolonged struggles.

According to the statement, the progress was made possible through the sacrifices, resilience and patience demonstrated by the Afghan people over time.

The leader emphasised that the country was now experiencing a period of general security and relative stability.

Akhundzada also called on foreign actors to respect Afghanistan’s sovereignty and avoid interfering in the country’s internal matters.

He further appealed for national unity and encouraged support for Afghan citizens returning home from neighbouring countries.

The statement highlighted the importance of collective cooperation among citizens to maintain peace and stability as the country moves forward.
