Kano Pillars grabbed the three points at stake as they beat Enyimba 1-0 in the rescheduled Week 31 game of the Glo Premier League played at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja.
The game seemed like it was going to end in a goalless draw, but Pillars substitute Manir Ubale scored in the 90th minute of the game to seal the maximum points for the reigning Nigerian champions.
Enyimba will feel undone by the result, having dominated the early proceedings of the game, and managed to hold off pressure from Pillars in the second half until the hosts scored in the final minute of the game.
Pillars have now climbed back to the summit of the Glo Premier League with 60 points from 35 games, while Enyimba remain rooted in fourth place with 56 points from the same number of games.
The Glo Premier League resumes with Week 36 round of games at the weekend, and Kano Pillars will travel to face Gombe United at the Pantami Stadium, while Enyimba welcome ABS FC to Aba.
