Former deputy governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has  condoled Governor Rauf  Aregbesola over the death of his mother, Alhaja Saratu Aregbesola.
Omisore contested against Aregbesola in the 2014 elections on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a condolence message by his Media Officer, Mr Jide Fakorede, on Tuesday in Ile-Ife, Omisore said that late Aregbesola was a devoted Muslim who lived a life worthy of emulation.
“I hereby commiserate with the Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, on the death of his mother, Alhaja Saratu Aregbesola, with deepest sympathy.
Omisore, who was in the Senate between 2003 and 2011, said that the late Alhaja Aregbesola would be greatly missed not only by her children “because mothers are rare beings in our lives.”
Omisore prayed: “May Allah grant the late Alhaja Aregbesola eternal rest and give all her children the fortitude to bear the loss”.
