Omeruo: I will be fit against Ethiopia in November

kenneth_omeruoSuper Eagles reliable defender, Kenneth Omeruo, has stated that he would be available for selection for the second leg of the 2014 World Cup play off against Ethiopia in November.

Omeruo has made remarkable recovery from a shoulder injury and he has said he will be fit and ready to face Ethiopia in Calabar on November 16.

“Kenneth is back training with Chelsea as expected. He has also expressed full confidence he will be fit for next month’s return leg match against Ethiopia in Nigeria,” his adviser Chika Akujobi said.

“Even left to him, he says he can play on Sunday against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa!

“But best to believe he will be okay for the return match.”

The 19-year-old Omeruo last featured for the Eagles during the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil in June, when he dislocated his shoulder.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is expected to run the rule on Omeruo once he is fully fit and it is only then that a decision would be taken whether he stays back at the London club or go on loan in January.

“The signals are looking very good for Kenneth,” said offered Akujobi, who would not wish to give more details beyond that.
