taiwo_ogunjobiThe Chairman Prime Football Club of Oshogbo, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, Thursday added to his magnificent and ever growing honours, as he was crowned the Pillar of Sports in the State of Osun.

It will not come as a surprise to many as the former Nigeria Football Federation Secretary General has contributed immensely to the development of sports in the state.

ASCOM President, Ridwan Mudashir, said Chief Ogunjobi’s track records and contributions to sports development in the state of Osun speak volume and gave him edge above other considerations. He noted that the choice of Chief Ogunjobi, was without sentiment.

A heroism honour by the Association of Student Communicator of the Department of Mass Communication, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, yesterday, Ogunjobi was decorated ‘Pillar of Sports’ in a colourful and well attended ceremony at the Rotundal Hall, North Campus of the institution.

Speaking with journalists after he was decorated, Ogunjobi said; “I know the enormity of the responsibilities as Pillar of Sports in Osun State. I also know that with God and support from all sports-loving Osun indigenes, we shall collectively accomplish the task of moving our sports forward.”
