Nicky Ajose could be set to leave Peterborough United, as he continues talks with the club over his future.
The former Manchester United youngster has two years remaining on his deal at London Road, but does not seem to feature in manager Darren Ferguson’s plans.
Now Ajose could leave the Posh after playing just one league game for them since joining in 2011 for a reported fee of £300,000 having spent most of his time out on loan.
Ajose has enjoyed spells with Scunthorpe United, Chesterfield, Crawley Town and Bury.
His agent, Peter Morrison of James Grant Group, told Sky Sports: “It’s been an extremely disappointing time for Nicky and things have not gone according to plan at Peterborough. At this moment the club feel it might be best for him to move on and have a fresh challenge elsewhere.
“There has been interest from Scotland as well as clubs in League One and Two and we’ll be sitting down to discuss his options over the next few weeks.”
