Ogun Assembly Minority Leader, six others defect to APC

Ogun House of Assembly

Ogun House of Assembly on Tuesday, reconvened after the election break and passed a motion confirming the Deputy Clerk of the House of Assembly, Mr Adedeji Adeyemo, as the Acting Clerk.

Mr Olakunle Oluomo, the Deputy Speaker (APC-Ifo 1), moved the motion for the confirmation during plenary, seconded by Jemili Akingbade (ADC-Imeko Afon) and supported by the whole House.

The confirmation was for a period of six months in the first instance.

Adeyemo’s appointment was as a result of the recent appointment of the former Clerk, Lanre Bisiriyu as the new Head of Service of the state by Governor Ibikunle Amosun on January 2.

The confirmation, according to the Assembly, took effect from January.
