Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has congratulated former Delta State Governor James Onanefe Ibori on his 68th birthday, praising his leadership and contributions to the state’s development.
Oborevwori conveyed his message through a statement issued in Asaba on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon.
Governor Praises Ibori’s Leadership
The Delta governor described Ibori as an energetic and inspirational political leader whose influence remained significant across the state.
He praised the former governor’s vision, resilience and commitment to public service during his two terms in office.
Ibori governed Delta State between May 1999 and May 2007.
Oborevwori said the foundations laid during Ibori’s administration contributed to the state’s subsequent growth and development.
The assessment represents the governor’s tribute to his predecessor on the occasion of the birthday celebration.
Oborevwori Sends Goodwill Message
Speaking on behalf of the Delta State Government and residents, Oborevwori wished Ibori a joyful celebration surrounded by family members, associates and well-wishers.
