Nigerian wonder kid, Kelechi Nwakali, has signed for Arsenal.
The highly-rated 17-year-old, who was player of the tournament as Nigeria won the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Chile last year, has confirmed that he has signed a five-year deal.
Further reports claim that the fee is expected to rise to around £3m.
Nwakali will join from the Diamond Football Academy.
Nwakali said of his move to the Gunners: “I just came back from London, I have signed a five-year contract with Arsenal.
“So many teams were interested in me but it has been my dream at a tender age to play for Arsenal.”
Nwakali will officially sign for the Gunners when he turns 18 in June.
A box-to-box midfielder, Nwakali was also linked with Manchester City and Liverpool before deciding to sign for Arsene Wenger’s side.
The Gunners are currently in third place in the Premier League, eight points behind leaders Leicester City and three points behind second-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
