The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday said it had concluded arrangements to re-sell national investment opportunities through the capital market to Nigerians in the Diaspora.
The moves to woo high net worth Nigerians in foreign countries are contained in a statement by the Exchange in Lagos.
It said that the investors’ forum scheduled for January 19 at Hilton Zurich Airport Hotel, Switzerland, would target Nigerian Diaspora in Switzerland and across Europe.
NSE Chief Executive Officer, Mr Oscar Onyema, said that the forum would showcase the domestic investment opportunities to Nigerians in Diaspora.
Onyema said that the Exchange recognised Nigerian Diaspora as a rich resource with unlimited investment potential.
“Diasporas present wonderful opportunity to help the development of the Nigerian economy by investing through the NSE, as they can help attract sufficient and stable access to international investment,” he said.
According to him, the main objective of the forum is to facilitate portfolio investments and inspire Diaspora-led investment for sustainable economic growth.
