Nigeria Premier Football League leaders, Rangers, will on Sunday hope to maintain their lead at the top of the table with a home win against Insurance of Benin in one of the MatchDay 37 games schedule for the weekend.
Rangers currently top of the table just a point ahead of Rivers United and with two games to the end of the season, a win in the game against Insurance will take them closer to ninth title and equal with Enyimba, who are currently on nine titles.
On the other hand, Rivers United will be away to bottom of the table Wikki Tourists, who still harbour hope of surviving the drop.
Dethroned winner of the league, Remo Stars, will be looking forward to a win at home against Bayelsa United, to move up the table after romancing relegation since the start of the season, a victory that could confirm Bayelsa’s relegation as they are currently 19th on the table after losing their last four games.
Remo just a position above Bayelsa will move away from the drop zone with a win while putting nails in Bayelsa’s relegation coffin.
Also on Sunday, Abia Warriors will be doing their continental hope a lot of good with a home victory against relegation threatened Kun Khalifat while Kwara United will go head-to-head against Enyimba with both teams still working hard to escape the drop.
Other games scheduled for the weekend will see Shooting Stars at home against Barau FC with Ikorodu City traveling away for a date against Katsina United. Plateau United will be the guest of Nasarawa United with Kano Pillars playing at home against Warri Wolves.
