NPF gets more DIG, AIGs, commissioners

Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of one Deputy Inspector-General of Police, two Assistant Inspectors-General of Police and 10 Commissioners of Police, following recommendation by the Inspector-General of Police.
The promotion is contained in a statement by Mr Ahmed Mohammed, the Commission’s Head of Press and Public Relations on Thursday.
The statement named the newly promoted DIG and AIGs as Adeola Adeniji and Adenrele Shinaba, who until the promotion is the Commissioner of Police in Kano State, as well as Ikemefuna Okoye.
“The promotion is with immediate effect,’’ the statement noted.
It added that one Assistant Superintendent of Police was elevated to Deputy Superintendent of Police.
