The Executive Board of Nigeria National League (NNL) has fixed July 25, 2015 as the resumption date for the second phase of the 2014/2015 league season.
This was one of the decisions taken by the board at their meeting held in Abuja during the week even as the board gave the reasons for the new resumption date which includes the non-determination of some of the Disciplinary matters involving some clubs.
Others are the impending inspection of defect stadia and to allow for the rescheduling of the outstanding matches involving some clubs to allow for a level playing field for all the teams in the second stanza of the league.
According to a circular signed by the Board’s secretary, Lawrence Katken, the board also warned all clubs indebted to the NNL to clear their debts before the resumption of the league or risk been barred from further participation in the competition.
Katken also urged the clubs that have any debt matters to settle it without further delay just as he called on those with stadia defect issues to comply with the board’s directives to put them in good order to avoid running foul of the rules of the game.
