A Nigerian footballer, Eweje Oladele Micheal, who plays for Remo Stars and formerly of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan has lost his life after surgery due to complications from appendix.
News of his death was shared on social media by the Media Officer of his former club Shooting Stars, Mr. Jubril Arowolo, who said that the Remo Stars striker died after a nearly successful appendix operation.
Eweje was a player of Shooting Stars in the early part of last season before moving to Remo Stars in the mid-season.
A Remo Stars defender, Salami Alphajamiu, posted this on facebook: “Sad news, so painful to announce the death of my teammate at Remo Stars and Shooting Stars player, Eweje Oladele Micheal, he was like a brother to me”.
