The Nigerian Breweries (NB) Plc said on Tuesday that it had concluded arrangements to reward its distributors and trade partners across the country for the 2015 business relationships.
This is contained in a statement by Mr Kufre Ekanem, the company’s Corporate Affairs Adviser in Lagos.
The statement said that the event had been scheduled for March 4 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
It stated that the awards would be given to distributors and key transporters of the company, who excelled in the cause of their business partnerships in 2015.
The statement said that the awards were conceived to recognise the excellent performances of the company’s distributors and transporters for the period.
It added that the event would provide the platform to evaluate the previous year’s business performance and communicate new business strategies to distributors.
The award categories, according to the statement, include National Volume Champion; National Volume Champion (first & second2 runner up); Regional Champions; Regional Volume Champion – first Runner Up and Regional Volume Champion – 2nd Runner Up.
“Prizes to be carted home by the lucky distributors will include brand new Mercedes Benz trucks, Mitsubishi Canter trucks; Mitsubishi L200 double cabin and forklifts,’’ the statement said.
The Nigerian Breweries was incorporated in 1946 and recorded a landmark when the first bottle of Star Lager Beer rolled off the bottling lines at its Lagos Brewery in June, 1949.
