Nasarawa: Tribunal grants Maku’s ex-parte application to inspect electoral materials

An ex-parte application brought before the Nasarawa State Governorship Election Tribunal by the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Labaran Maku, to inspect electoral materials which gave the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Governor Tanko Al-Makura, victory in the April 11 election was, on Monday, granted
The motion was filed by Maku’s counsel, Mike Okwori,
before the tribunal sitting in Lafia, the state capital and led by Justice Halima Mohammed.
Justice Mohammed ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to allow Maku’s counsel and experts inspect all INEC forms EC8A for 1,495 units and forms EC8B for all the 13 local government areas
of the North-Central state.
Also to be inspected are form EC8D, form EC8E, list of
registered voters for all 1,495 polling units, list of INEC ad-hoc staff, list of Permanent Voters Cards (PVC)
collected per polling unit and ward and all the Card Readers used for accreditation in all the local governments.
Maku’s counsel and forensic experts were also ordered to see Certified True Copies (CTC) of INEC forms EC8A for all 1,495 polling units, INEC forms EC8B for all 147 wards, forms EC8C for all the councils, CTCs of forms EC8D and EC8E, list of registered voters for all 1,495 polling units of the state as well as list of INEC ad hoc staff.
