Naira appreciates by 0.3% against dollar at official market

The Naira, on Tuesday, appreciated at the official market, trading at N1,671.32 to the dollar.

Data from the official trading platform of the FMDQ Exchange, a platform that oversees the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), revealed that Naira gained N5.58.

This represents a 0.33 per cent gain when compared to the previous trading date on Monday when it exchanged at N1,676.90 to a dollar.

Also, the total daily turnover increased to $218.77 million on Tuesday up from $79.47 million recorded on Monday.

At the Investor’s and Exporter’s (I&E) window, the Naira traded between N1,687 and N1,591.65 against the dollar.
