At the All-Star Game, Team Atlantic Conference defeated Team Savannah Conference 104-103, to win the N1 million prize for the 2013 edition.

Team Savannah Conference, runners-up in the game, also got a cash prize of N500,000.

The edition was sponsored by Multihchoice Nig. Plc.

Mabutho said the company was proud and willing to do more for the sport because the 2013 basketball season was a success.

“Multihchoice Nigeria Plc is happy and will continue to support the basketball league.

“We signed a four-year contract in April and the company believes the league would continue to improve.

“Multihchoice is now 20 years in Nigeria and the company intends to continue to entertain Nigerians with good basketball games.

“The company is not only sponsoring basketball, but it is also into football and athletics.

“We assure Nigerians that we will be around for many more years and improve on our set objectives,’’ Mabutho said.

Team Atlantic Conference’s Azouma Dike won the All-Star Most Valuable Player Award of N250, 000 cash.

Timothy Kwanor of Team Savannah Conference won the Three-Point-Shoot Award of N100, 000 cash.

Dike plays for Dodan Warriors of Lagos, while Kwanor plays for Kada Stars of Kaduna.

The All-Star fiesta earlier featured a celebrity match between Channel ‘O’ and Beats FM, which ended 17-18, in favour of Beats FM.
