A former skipper of the Super Eagles, Mikel Obi, has emphatically stated that the current crop of football administrators do not have an idea of how to run the game.
Mikel stated that football today demands much more than what we are experiencing in the Nigeria Football Federation.
He added that he would have loved to be involved in the administration of the game but it is impossible for him to work with people who have no clue about how the game should be administered.
The former Chelsea midfielder said: “I would have loved to be involved. I’ve said it that for me to do that, I can’t work with the people there. They have no clue on how to manage the game, or make the players comfortable when they come back home to play for the nation. There are basic things we need to change.
“We don’t have our own stadium. I am not saying to be as good as others but just something small you need as basis for the team and overall administration. We don’t have that. It’s just absolutely ridiculous what’s going on?”
