The world-famous pop family of Jacksons in the United States (U.S.) is mourning.
Tito Jackson, brother of the popular pop legend, Michael Jackson, is dead.
He was 70.
Michael himself died in 2009.
Tito was a founding member of the legendary ‘Jackson 5’.
Tito, who performed alongside his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael, leaves behind a significant musical impact.
Famous for classics like “ABC” and “I Want You Back,” the news of Tito’s death was confirmed by his sons via Instagram on Monday, although the official cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
Steve Manning, a long-time friend and former manager of the Jackson family, confirmed the sad news to Entertainment Tonight, stating that Tito died on Monday.
His three sons, Taj, Taryll, and TJ Jackson—who gained fame as the R&B/pop trio 3T in the 1990s—shared their grief in a heartfelt post on Instagram.
They wrote, “We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken.
“Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being.”
“He will be missed tremendously. It will forever be ‘Tito Time’ for us.
“Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another’. We love you Pops”.
