Market indicators dip further by 1.25%

Market indicators of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday recorded further depreciation by 1.25 per cent, due to sell pressure.
The All-Share Index declined by 350.51 points to close at 27,585.26 as against 27,935.77 posted on Thursday.
Similarly, the market capitalisation, which opened at N9.321 trillion, lost N117 billion or 1.25 per cent to close at N9.204 trillion, due to price losses by some blue equities.
7UP led the losers’ chart by N7.85 to close at N149.15 per share.
Guinness came second with N6 to close at N114, while Total Oil lost N3.23 to close at N134.05 per share.
Dangote Cement dipped by N3.1 to close at N141.9, while Presco dropped N2.38 to close at N28 per share.
On the other hand, Seplat topped the gainers’ chart, gaining N16.8 to close at N385 per share.
Forte Oil gained N10.09 to close at N212.09, while Cadbury rose by N3.98 to close at N42.98 per share.
Okomu Oil went up by N1.39 to close at N29.29 and Flour Mill appreciated by N1 to close at N29 per share.
GTBank emerged the most traded stock, accounting for 114.22 million shares worth N1.94 billion.
UTC followed with a turnover of 75.55 million shares valued N37.77 million, while Transcorp sold 55.76 million shares worth N125.55 million.
In all, a total of 513.89 million shares valued N7.08 billion were traded by investors in 4,436 deals.
This is against the 411.56 million shares worth N4.48 billion traded in 3,491 deals on Thursday.
