Celebrated columnist, Funke Egbemode, is set to launch her second book titled Conversations with my country.
The book is a compilation of Egbemode’s well-read columns.
The book is to be launched on December 12, 2013 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos State, beginning from 10am.
Among prominent Nigerians expected to grace the launch are the President of the Senate, Dr. David Mark; the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal; and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius anyim.
Also expected at the high profile event are the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, who is the Chief Presenter; the Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashoa (SAN), who is the Host Governor; and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Famfa Oil, Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, who is the Guest Speaker.
A former Governor of Abia State and Chairman of Slok Group of Companies, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, is the Chief Host.
Egbemode, whose columns attract wide readership, has several years of qualitative journalism experience spanning The Punch, ThisDay and the Sun among others.
She is at present the General Editor of the Sun newspaper titles.
